1. Introduction

At Stamp Prep, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information. Name, email address, and password. The password is stored encrypted.
• Study profile. College, major, the exam you are taking, your test date, and graduation year. College is required to finish signup. Major, test date, and graduation year are optional. You can mark the test date as not scheduled.
• Study activity. Your answers, the question and topic for each answer, whether the answer was right, the time spent on each question, mock and timed exam scores, and the days you use Stamp Prep.
• Payment information. Stamp Prep is free. If paid plans return, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details.
• Usage data. Pages visited, features used, device information, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, referral source, advertising click identifiers, and cookie or pixel identifiers.
• Communications. Messages you send to our support team.

We collect the study profile and study activity above so we can improve questions and study plans, and so we can compute aggregate statistics. We never sell this information. College, major, exam, test date, graduation year, answers, time per question, and active days stay in our Supabase database. A finished casual quiz also sends that quiz's score and question count to Google Analytics. That event is described with the other advertising and analytics data below.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the Service and improve questions and study plans
• Track your study progress, including answers, time per question, exam scores, and active days
• Keep the service free. If paid plans return, process those payments
• Send important updates about your account or the Service
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our content and features
• Measure the effectiveness of advertising, attribute signups and purchases to campaigns, and avoid showing irrelevant ads
• Prevent fraud and ensure security

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Stamp Prep:

• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting (your account and performance data)
• Stripe: Payment processing if paid plans return
• Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure
• Resend: Transactional email delivery
• Google Analytics: Website analytics and performance measurement
• Reddit Ads: Advertising measurement, conversion tracking, and campaign attribution through pixels, cookies, and Conversions API events

These services may have access to your information as necessary to perform their functions, but are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers and advertising or analytics platforms as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your information only in the following cases:

• With service providers who help us operate the Service (as listed above)
• With advertising and analytics platforms to measure campaign performance, attribute conversions, and improve advertising. This may include event data such as page visits, signups, device/browser information, IP address, cookie or pixel identifiers, advertising click identifiers, and hashed identifiers such as a hashed email address or internal user ID.
• If required by law or to respond to legal process
• To protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users
• In connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger, acquisition)

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted password storage
• Secure authentication via Supabase
• Regular security audits

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct your account information at any time
• Deletion: Email support@stampprep.com to request deletion of your account and the study data listed above, including college, major, exam, test date, graduation year, answers, time per question, exam scores, and active days.
• Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (account-related emails may still be sent)

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information and performance data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in
• Remember your preferences
• Analyze site usage and performance
• Run advertising pixels and conversion tracking, including Reddit Ads conversion measurement and attribution

Some advertising tools may collect or receive information typed into forms, such as email addresses, for matching and measurement. Where supported, identifiers may be hashed before being sent to advertising platforms. You can control cookie settings in your browser, use browser privacy tools, or adjust ad preferences with the relevant advertising platforms, but disabling cookies may limit functionality.

10. Children's Privacy

Stamp Prep is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
